Because of the state of the economy and the high cost of gasoline, more families are choosing to stay closer to home for vacations called “staycations." We believe our unique family recreation attraction will become a place families will want to visit again and again. Ropes
courses for adults have gained in popularity over the past 20 years. We are pursuing the American dream, and we believe we can create a huge demand for this type of family attraction in Arkansas.
A CDC report says people who live in the South are the least likely to be physically active in their leisure time. In January 2012 the Journal of the
American Medical Association said 35.7 percent of adults and 17 percent of children in the U.S. are obese, a huge increase from just one generation ago. The CDC estimates that 64 percent of all Americans are overweight. The national media have spotlighted the pandemic rise in obesity and diabetes, and parents and medical professionals continue to look for and encourage ways for children to get exercise to improve their health. A Gallup poll found that almost six in 10 Americans wanted to lose weight.
The Arkansas Diamond Mine Adventure will be a unique family recreation attraction featuring a ropes course, an obstacle course and a children's play area. We believe many people, like us, will want to participate and compete in challenges such as these. As an added bonus, we anticipate hiring a dozen young people to staff our business! You will help our economy by creating more jobs! Our hope is that one
day, when people ask about fun things to do in Arkansas, the
first answer will be, "Go visit the Arkansas Diamond Mine Adventure!"
